((OOC: I'd like to suggest one plausible alternative: Instead of appointing an Envoy, make it custom that those who walk a second pattern receive some specific minor noble title in the secondary Court. So, for example, Harrune might be Ruler of Tir'na, and Duke of Sunlet River (or whatever) in Rebma. The result would be that, when in Rebma, he'd have to explicitly state that he was acting as Ruler of Tir'na, in order to receive the benefit of his Amberite rank; at default, he'd "only" be a mid-ranked noble. The primary advantage of this approach being that it's not in some way limited to one person per court.))

Seems like the kind of thing Ashara may mention. Actually, with the second part, it actually reduces the rights that an Amberite has in the other courts slightly, since they have to specifically invoke their Amberite status. It might help reduce tension, since such an action would need to be a choice.

Morgana is neutral on either of these...

Oberon prefers the envoy idea, but only slightly. Perhaps simply shelving it until the courts fill out...

Current decision is to shelve the envoy idea until the courts fill up more and give those who walk two patterns a minor title in the second (or third) court. This will actually reduce what they can do in the second court, while giving a much more non-threatening avenue to the relationship.

"So something like Duke of the Moonlit Harbor perhaps? Given how small the harbor is in relation to the sea and how deep moonlight penetrates I don't think anyone would say that is a major title. It would is also the border between the sea and the city, so I would be a part of both. And of course the moonlight is still a nod to Tir-na. I am open to other possibilities. As for bestowing the title, Ashara could do that be decree now. I think two Amberite witnesses would be enough."

"As a reminder, I have formally asked permission to walk the other two. I am awaiting responses on those requests. If they are granted, and of course if I survive the attempts, I assume we will be doing the same for the other Courts? If so, we may as well choose titles for the other two Courts as well."

"The Moonlit Harbor sounds perfect," Ashara will agree. "Seems you have done your research. Agreed then. As steward of Rebma, I bestow on Harune the title of Duke of the Moonlit Harbour. Those three houses are between our worlds and would do well with air-breather representation."

The others will agree.

As for the next request, Morgana would have to check. There are two factions in Ht'gon, giving you a title with one or the other could cause issues. Perhaps best to see how things settle with Alys and Cameron.

Oberon could officially grant you title over your longhouse in the city... But will give it some thought.

"Well I still have to walk the Patterns, and survive, before it becomes an issue so you have some breathing room on that."

"Morgana, perhaps a more...judicial...title in your Court? As I not part of either faction, I could adjudicate disputes between the two without any accusations for favoritism. That would also protect you from such claims as well. You know your people far better than I do, so you would know better if that idea could work. It is worth considering I think."

Morgana will nod. "We'll have to see. I hope we can see how Alys and Cameron settle in within the next few days. If the patterns do get harder to walk, perhaps you should wait until you are fully rested. Perhaps the end of the week?" She thinks. "And on top of all that, I've got no less than six petitioners who want to be named Steward of Ht'gon. I bet half of them don't understand why it was needed in Rebma."

"I am fully rested. I spent several days at home last night." Harrune sighs. "Will we ever find a way to discuss playing games with time that doesn't sound odd? I would rather see this done quickly, in fact I was hoping to have it done before the festival is over, but if that is going to cause you problems I suppose it can wait. I do have another Pattern to walk any way. Oh, and I should make sure there are witnesses to both, just to avoid any disputes. I was lucky in that regard in Rebma, but I would prefer not to rely on luck when I can avoid it."

Morgana will nod. "At least until tomorrow then. Things are positively insane today with the festival. I can arrange for a proper observer as well. Although, perhaps the day after, when you do not have to play host that night, will be better."

"Of course Morgana, you have enough to deal with today without my impatience on top of it all." Harrune smiles warmly. "The day after tomorrow would be wonderful. And you remind me, I should check in on my Courts preparations today. I had been staying out of the way, but as Ruler I supposed I should at least stick my nose in and see how things are progressing. At least I should make sure that they have everything they need...and then stay out of the way again."

"Oberon, might tonight be possible? That would allow us to attend today's festivities, do the Walk, I could slip away for a few days rest and be back in plenty of time to play host tomorrow. Then some rest after that and can finish this project and move on to other things. Would that suit you?"
