Harrune will pull out his trump deck and send messages to Asai, Darnell and Rasanam (assuming he's not with Lyra) to inform them of the where and when of the meeting.

Alys watches as the knight of the black horse leaves the field triumphant, to start preparing for his match with Ossian. Next up is Oberon against a rather determined-looking man whose shield is decorated with three turtles; everyone knows how this match is going to go, but the knight of three turtles seems intent on putting up as good a showing as he can.

"I think the earlier event would be better; I can speak with Oberon once he's done here, and the Raven turned up this morning."

(Asai will acknowledge the meeting's time with a rather distracted air. As the connection cuts off, Harrune will catch some half-heard fragment of muttering. Something about misbehaving fish?)

Lyra, not really knowing anything about jousting, makes conversation with Ossian, inquiring about the sport, mostly in an effort to start to get to know him.

Ossian is willing to explain about tactics for jousting, and the equipment as he prepares on his gleaming white horse, Enbarr. The black horse knight does similar.

The match is fairly quick... two passes and the black-horse knight is thrown from his horse, lance splintering. Those observing will note that Ossian is just slightly better than the other knight.

This tournament does not require melee afterwards.

"An aerial version of this would be amazing. I wonder if anyone's ever tried that..."

"But being unseated could be...very awkward."

[Wyvern]

"I'm sure it's been done regardless, even if just in places where either magic or lives are cheaper than they are here."

"Well there certainly are a lot of places out there where lives are considered an acceptable price for a spectacle. I would rather not have that occurring here. That having been said, if we could address the safety issues an aerial contest could be an interesting idea to organize for next year. We can't make it completely safe, but people still get injured in the jousts and melees. It is the price to be paid. I just want to keep it down to injury rather than permanent harm."

[Wyvern]

"I think I'll go talk to Oberon while he's between matches. Lyra, it might be a good idea to ask Quinn if Dworkin invited someone else and neglected to mention his arrival; if not, would you mind passing on to Morgana that someone 'blue' has shown up well ahead of schedule?"

And Alys heads off to where Oberon is preparing for his next match.
