(OOC: As a reminder, the shadow where Rasanam, Lyra and Jiga are from, familiars can grow in power as henchmen. So, they've seen what Asai is describing. Like Shippo.)
Holt will listen, and nod. He will say to Jiga, "The striders aren't the only company in Amber. Our police force is formidable and well versed in Magic. If you're more used to urban situations, perhaps we could put you to better use. Of course, that's if you wished to be a member of Tir-Na Nog'th."

Re: 07.13d: A Roll of the Dice
"I'm mostly comfortable in cities now though I certainly have much more experience out in the wilderness. I'm not sure I'm interested in joining Tir-Na Nog'th though, no offense. I'm still pretty new here but I suppose I feel somewhat obligated to Ht'gon. So, your police force is only responsible for patrolling Tir-Na Nog'th?"

Alys listens quietly (and takes her turns in the parcheesi game when they come up); clearly interested in the current conversation, but also not having anything particular to add to it.

Ninear will respond. "The police force mostly works within Faetown. We do the security for the castle, but due to the difficulty entering and the extreme concern with the castle itself... Tir-Na Nog'th itself is rarely an issue."

"If we want to unite the different areas, maybe you can expand the force; have one central command with different precincts. I'd be best if one could travel anywhere in Amber and expect the same level of security. That's certainly an idea I could get behind."

Re: 07.13d: A Roll of the Dice
"An interesting notion, but there would be a great deal of opposition to such expansion from the adjacent precincts and lords; one would need to convince them that the benefits outweighed the loss of personal power."
"I have chosen to take a slightly different approach to resolving the issue you bring up. And if that is an idea you wish to get behind..." Alys gives the tengu a contemplative look, "I think there might be some place for an individual of your particular skills. To offer better training to the various police forces of Amber will, after all, require a 'red team' to provide them with someone to train against..."

Re: 07.13d: A Roll of the Dice
Jiga cocks her head quizzically, seemingly intrigued. "I'll have to work on my time management it seems. There are too many enticing options on the table. I'm afraid I don't have an answer right now but I am interested. I certainly want to at least try to see if Asai can teach me anything, and I can see how offering training could lead to greater mutual cooperation in the future between factions. But I did already approach Rogbar about the Striders and I'd like to see if perhaps there's a place for me there. They certainly seem a bit more regimented than I'm used to so perhaps not..." She looks out over the room for a certain feline that's been taking his time getting drinks.

Alys nods. "There are always more things worth doing than time to do them in. Normally I might offer advice to the tune of not forgetting one's own interests in that list. But," she nods in the direction of Jiga's gaze, "I suspect you have that part already figured out."

Rogbar will return with the drinks. He has some variant of a white russian for himself and pass the others out. "I trust the party was not too far progressed while I was away." he will settle next to Jiga. "I hope I will not cause too much of a problem. I regret that I needed help getting up the stairs. My enchanted boots, they don't particularly like stairs."

Re: 07.13d: A Roll of the Dice
"It's no problem at all. You didn't even have to come tonight considering your injuries. Though you'd have been missed, I'm sure, if you hadn't." She takes the proffered drink and sips carefully, looking pleased at the taste. "Mm, thank you!" Turning to Alys she replies, "I have some ideas certainly but all of this is still very new." She pauses for a moment then adds, "I just want to make sure I'm contributing with my presence. Earning my keep, so to speak."
Amidst the discussion, it's apparently come back around to Jiga's turn without her noticing. She rolls the dice and moves he pieces again.
