"I won't. Besides, it's not like I'm on a date, so... things are usually lower-key when that's happening. Hopefully Cassandra won't be too upset about last time." Rogbar will explain as he starts up the stairs again. He's not in horrible shape, he's just in worse shape then you'd want to be if you were climbing 10 flights of stairs. "I kind of splashed her with water on a previous date. Plus, she shot me down when I asked her out. Maybe I should have waited until she was dry?"

Jiga smiles. "That probably would have helped your chances. Though a little water never really hurt anyone. That bath was certainly wonderful." Jiga will follow him up the stairs, assisting as necessary. " I'm not sure I've met this Cassandra yet...though the name sounds familiar."

"She likes riddles and is holding a contest. Typical sphinx stuff. I suspect she's upset in that we're both shadows of Asai, if you believe in such a thing. Although, I was here first, so... perhaps I would be of Harrune. He was one of the first." Rogbar will shrug. "Of course, there are other ideas. Personally, once I got here, I forged my own destiny. So, even if that was true, I don't believe in it. If it is true, then perhaps she is upset that I am not a better cat."

"Wait...so there's some theory that everyone here might be a shadow of the people that are Amberites or only certain people?" Jiga contemplates that for a moment before continuing. "I'm not sure I could believe that either. Everyone is responsible for their own destiny. Others might help shape it and open up new paths but it's an individual choice whether or not to follow those paths. Even if we are shadows, we're shadows with free will, able to choose to become lighter or darker and determine the direction we're cast in, unrestricted by the person casting the shadow."

After another slight pause she adds, "Maybe it's good you spilled water on this sphinx. People shouldn't expect others to live up to their expectations."

Rogbar will nod. "I suppose you could always ask her. I, for one, plan on trying the poker game. Although, perhaps something without gambling."

Looks like you're up to the entrance to the castle. As a reminder, there's a landing / balcony where a staircase that floats in mid-air connects, leading to a grand entrance into Tir-na Nog'th.

"I don't have too much experience with cards. Dice was always the preferred game of my past associates. It'd be fun to learn. I'm fine engaging in whatever suits you. I'd just rather not have to mingle and make small talk by myself. Shall we head up?"

Unless there's more he wishes to say, we can make our entrance presently, Jiga clearly tickled at the ease of "gliding" about the room.

(OOC: Sorry this is stalled. I'm not thinking of a good hook at this point, and running a few NPCs squabbling among themselves when most are played by me isn't that fun... Unless someone wants to play Cassandra or what-not.)

OOC: The other option, of course, is to have them run into one or more PCs. I'm sure they'll want to talk to Aibne when he shows up - though that might want to wait until the immediate aftermath of his current thread has played out. Rasanam and Lyra are currently just watching a game of go, and could easily be sidetracked to talk to Jiga and Rogbar. Alys' current conversation seems to be winding down a bit, and bringing Rogbar (and thus Jiga) into that scene could revitalize things.

After a few moments of surveying the room, Jiga spots Lady Alys beckoning in her direction. Taking Rogbar by the arm and spreading her wings, she leads the two of them over, gliding with a single flap of her wings.
