Cameron does have the skill to do it. It does take a few minutes.
Oberon will nod. "Of course, if you're charged with pattern when you talk to it, it'll think you're speaking for the pattern. I think... That makes sense, right?"

"Hmmm...if it can sense Pattern energy and recognize for what it is, then yes that would make sense. If it can't sense Pattern energy, then it's a moot point...except for the fact that it gives us an advantage if it comes down to a fight."

Alys nods, "It would, at the least, be interesting to see how - or if - it reacts to such."

Re: 07.12f: Meeting on the Castle
((Belated but I'm terrible at paying attention lately. Eh, this is more amusing background flavor than anything actually important.))
Anyone happening to glance over at Asai once a few minutes have passed from the dramatic explosion elsewhere will notice a new sheet amidst the pile with Quin's name jotted down in the upper left corner and the rest of it filled with brief analyses of the spells the 'jester' had used including what look to be* a few suggested revisions. There is no actual commentary involved and she didn't seem to have given more than a brief glance in the direction of the cascade of spells. In other news, apparently Asai's quill pen not only seems to generate its own ink but can change colors in mid-stroke. The second quill's properties remain unknown; though it shows signs of recent use she apparently did not need its services during the meeting.
She remains on the parapet for a little while after everyone else has left, finishing up a few more scribbled notes and equations. Asai flips the page with Quin's name over and writes a single sentence on the back before rolling it up and sealing it with a dab of magic. A whisper of oddly drawn-out birdsong-like speech and a little glass-like bird spins itself into existence on one of her fingers. She hands it the scroll and with a chiming sound it takes off. It takes but a few moments for Asai to chivvy everything into a single neat pile** and then with a few sharp syllables the feline vanishes.
(*No clue who here's got smarts or sorcery enough to suss things out, but it's nowhere near as complicated or technical as the rest of her papers. For whatever it means/is worth, she made the suggested revisions in green ink not red.)
(**It's not magic, just ages of practice, she swears.)
