07.12b: A Light Walk Back

"It'll take how long it takes," he says, shrugging. "Probably three to six hours. I'm taking half again as many people as I did the first time, so it's only an estimate." He looks up at the sun, watching it as he keeps walking at a careful, even pace. "We should be there soon, actually, we're starting to get back toward familiar territory."

He shakes his head. "As for Odin, I think you'll be okay. He mostly keeps to himself, and he's always been polite and affable."

Jiga's been quiet as the group walks. She's splitting her attention between listing to the explanation that's been being doled out to Ch'talo and watching Rogbar to judge his thoughts, mood, and general well being. Now that it sounds as if the bulk of the information likely to be discussed has been brought up, she ventures closer to Rogbar, her expression neutral. "You're really lucky to have such fast friends to rush off and rescue you the way we did. That was a pretty serious situation....I hope you're OK." She keeps her voice pitched low so as not to interrupt the other conversation but makes sure to heed Aibne's warning and keep pace.

(OOC: If necessary any lengthy discussion can more to another thread or be completed offline so as to not confuse the conversation already in progress. Jiga's just been wanting to talk to Rogbar and it seemed a decent place to speak up)

Rogbar is recovering nicely. Actually, he's mostly uninjured. Aibne looks a lot worse for wear, with welts and lashes that have cut through his fur.

Rogbar does talk back and forth with Jiga, but he is definitely more humbled and distracted by the sacrifices made to retrieve him.

Alys will spend the rest of the walk answering questions on topics of politics, Powers, etcetera - though, should it come up, she is a bit reticent about discussing her own powers or history. (She is not, however, at all reticent about suggesting that you shouldn't take her words or apparent friendliness entirely at face value.) If there's some specific further questions you'd like to have her address IC, this would be a great time for it, but otherwise I'm ready to skip ahead to arrival in Amber, or let this thread shift to conversation between Jiga and Rogbar. Or both.

Oh, whoops, there is one more important thing to bring up...

"And, on the topic of dangers, there is one that has cropped up outside the courts; a self-proclaimed 'god' we have dubbed 'Hivers'..." Alys goes on to explain what she knows about that entity; I am, OOC, presuming that Ch'talo's player is reasonably up to speed on that topic? If not, I can write up an actual summary in this thread.

OOC: Thinking it'd be a reasonable plan to, on arrival in Amber, head for Dworkin - which would take us to the At the Practice Yards thread. Checking with Harrune's player if he minds us crashing that thread; if not, will post an arrival there & edit this post as well.

Edit: Have checked, got all-clear to show up there. I see Cameron is trumping Aibne... going to declare that whatever happens with that, Alys will escort Ch'talo to meet Dworkin at some point, so we can move ahead with arriving there regardless. Going to go write up that arrival now.

Cameron steps in beside Aibne, standing at his side for a moment before starting to walk with him. He's carrying a pack obviously overloaded with medical supplies, motioning Jiga over.

"Because of Aibne's work we can't stop walking; if you can do any triage with these supplies while we're in motion, I suspect that will be a help. There will, probably, be lizardfolk waiting at Rebma for the arrivals; Quin's handling that and he saw how many supplies I was heading off with so I suspect there will be medical care available on arrival. I'll help where I can."

He'll remain somewhat near Aibne, beginning to try and concentrate and assist with his leading of the walk.

Alys will continue conversation with Ch'talo while taking supplies from Cameron to do what she can to help the lizardfolk with them. However, Ch'talo will notice that the conversation shifts to solely Amber internal politics - Greater Powers, Logrus, Chaos, etc., are all apparently something she does not discuss in public.

Jiga looks concerned as she leaves Rogbar's side but heads over to Cameron and Alys. She takes supplies as well, nodding at Cameron's comment. "I've had to apply bandages on the move before. I'll see what I can do." With that she drops back among the injured to further tend to injuries.
