07.11f: Follow the Soulsteel Road

As Tinder arrives... Rogbar will casually slip out of the cuffs... "I believe my ride is here. And... as dates go, that one... wasn't so bad. Such a shame she was too evil to survive. I could have saved her!" He sniffles a little.

[Chtalo]

Ch'talo eyes Tinder warily, shifting towards a fighting stance before relaxing and seeing that he is associated with the former prisoner.

"I'm not sure what kind of life you lead, but I'm glad it's not mine." He shakes a foot to clear ichor off his claws, letting them shrink back towards normal, then turns towards the main entry, the bony plates shrinking back into his flesh and leaving his lustrous fur exposed. Now that he's done with his own combat he may finally hear the sounds of others.

Rogbar will look at Tinder (and jiga). "It sounds like armies are clashing outside. What did I miss?"

[Chtalo]

Ch'talo shrugs. "I have no idea. I didn't come with... whatever's going on out there. But I'm willing to bet what I hunt will be there. He is drawn to chaos. Or causes it. It's hard to tell sometimes." He extends a bone spike woven with the strange steel, and with a wince breaks it off to form a rough spear. He still glows with a light bit of moonlight even against the torches inside.

"Either way, I'm heading for the gate. I take it you have... another conveyance." He nods to Tinder, then turns to head towards the main entry, trotting off at a near lope towards the main entry to the hall and from there out to the gatehouse, spear held over a shoulder.

Rogbar will watch Ch'talo go... and walk over to the dead Abyssal... "So, uh... That's the first date that ended with her death." He will look forlorn. "You will be missed lass." Before checking over his body... "My things! She took my boots and my sword*! More importantly, my hat! I have no idea where she put them!" He will look at Tinder and Jiga... "Can you catch my scent on them, Tinder?"

Tinder sniffs at Rogbar, and wrrbles, and dashes in a quick circle around the cat. Then he trots off a bit, pauses, and looks back, clearly expecting Rogbar and Jiga to follow.

...Unfortunately for Rogbar, Tinder's priorities were set as "Rescue Rogbar, then report to Aibne for fire support", not "Rescue Rogbar and then find his stuff"; the path he leads twists through non-space and should drop the group out somewhere more or less over here.

Jiga's expression subtly shifts between concern, relief, and annoyance as she watches Rogbar easily slip his bonds. She fills Rogbar in on recent events, warily watching the retreating stranger. "Aibne lead the Striders and several others here to rescue you. I just left Alys and Cameron in the dungeons. They fought off the undead and were rescuing the prisoners. Everyone else was outside the gates unless they've breached by now." She pauses before asking some questions of her own, eying the corpse on the ground. "Who was she? How'd she manage to kidnap you?"

[Joshua]

"Her name, was... uh..." Rogbar will pause. "Her name wasn't important! She wanted to take me to her place, here. All told, it was a little darker than I expected. But, all my dates are like this... well, maybe not with her dying, but..."

With that, I assume Tinder insists they leave the caste.
