Re: 07.11c: Into the Woods
"Lets try and find records about what may have occurred here," Lyra says looking a bit unnerved at the silent streets of the city. "We'll likely pass by what would be Faetown on our way in and I know the Guard Captain to be thorough with record keeping. So that's a start. Following that, the Guilds or any of Asai's Libraries may provide clues. Ultimately the Castle's the goal. Who knows what we might find in here so we stay together and stay alert." With that, Lyra shifts back to her hybrid Dragon form and begins to make her way into the City, heading towards the building she and Rasanam had visited only a short time ago.

By bigger, one might think that the tangle of vines and thorns could count. It seems to have rapidly spread from a central point. It might be appropriate to break this into sub-threads... as the scooby-gang splits up. Unless you are making a point of not doing so.

Rasanam, at least, isn't planning on splitting up - or at least, not by anything more than trivial amounts, along the lines of "You check that room, I'll check this room." If push comes to shove on the issue, he'd rather stay near Odin than pursue his own investigations - he can always come back here later, after all.
I suppose the Raven might still wander off on his own, though?

The Raven isn't planning to split up, though to him "that room" might be a bit farther away than most people's definition*. He's here to investigate the people, not the place. (Unless the place proves more interesting, in the unlikely event that occurs, all bets are off.)

So... You have an eerily empty mirror of Amber covered in thorny vines. It is just the city, and the castle, although this version of the castle is much closer to the city. It is missing Ht'Gon, and the docks go into the river mentioned. (Crossing isn't that great, but quite doable. The river is not fast, but about 100 yards across. Thicker at the bay area.) With a bit of triangulation, the vines seem centered on little fae-town.
Where are people heading and how are you crossing the river?

Relevant question: Where is Odin heading, and how is he crossing the river?
Edit: For the record, Rasanam is planning on flying over the river, though he'll detour a bit to stay near other people that don't have that option.

Caelund is still looking for a likely fjord, preferably a section of the river no deeper than mid-thigh with a reasonably slow current - so likely towards the delta unless a more obvious crossing is apparent upstream. Once he finds an acceptable crossing he would wade or cross using the javelin for stability, while watching the water and reflections for active and passive hazards.
He isn't anticipating splitting off from the group considering his current state, but isn't likely to oppose to dividing the the party if the situation demands.

Odin will pause when everyone else does. He will shrug at people, probably making sure no one gets swept away by the river. As for crossing, he shifts to an aquatic form as soon as he touches the water. wading/swimming as if he hadn't stopped walking.

Rewease the Kwaken!!!
Caelund, something wraps around your leg as you're wading through the (murky) water and is about to pull you under.
Odin seems to be having similar issues, but he looks more... annoyed then afraid.

Clearly already twitchy, the rather mundane man brings the point of the javelin down sharply and violently into the water, before swearing in a loud and irritated manner.*
"Awe Fragit, ya git!"
He aims for wherever he can best estimate or see the origin of the presumed tentacle is**, after accounting for water refraction and how it wrapped around his leg. Regardless of if it skewers something, he follows through to drive the short-spear into the sediment below and does his best to keep a steady grip with his right arm.
