"Tinder can track," Alys volunteers.* "Though if Rogbar is out in shadow, I expect it would be faster for Aibne to use Pattern and walk to where Rogbar is than to track him."

* Wait, wasn't she standing over there? When did she get here? These are reasonable questions to ask; she seems to have pulled off ninja-standard "teleportation". Well... Aibne might have noticed her approach, except he seems to be maybe a bit distracted...

"Sounds like trying to walk to him would be the quickest way to narrow our search. I assume it just won't work if he's still here in Amber somewhere and then we can just track him traditionally," Jiga comments.

Rogers nods. "Great! Now which of you can lead the army through shadows*? or do we have to all follow on our own?"

Aibne resumes motion, blinking a little as he pulls Cameron and Osmund out of thin air. "That was... moderately disturbing, actually. I've never had people in my head, and the pulling sensation is... weird," he'll mutter quietly, before shaking his head. He marches to a small stage and roars a little,getting everyone's attention. "Shadow Striders and company! Hark! We have a Code M in progress! Rogbar the Mighty is being Married to an unknown woman, pale as snow, with hair black as night! We will find him! We will rescue him! And we! Will! Show! Her!" He draws his sword, and a fearsome light shines in his eyes as he grins madly. "Nonlethal force is authorized!"

There is a bit of a cheer... BTW, non-lethal force in this case means the words "clean" and "quick" are removed from the standard "death" threat. Most of the members aren't... that... oh, who am I kidding? This is like telling a bunch of villains in Batman's rogue's gallery they can 'Have fun' or 'use whatever you want to do this...' They pull out some really strange weapons. Most keep the swords and spears as a primary, with some kind of torture device / slapstick joke as a secondary weapons. (Cause, rule 1 is don't get cocky.)

Jiga looks around at the wide range of sharp pointy implements and mutters, "Those are all considered non-lethal...?" She clearly hasn't worked out the previous explanation of the term for herself yet but isn't really expecting a response to her question.

Cameron arches a brow at "nonlethal force", but shrugs - it's not like he would use anything but the Star in close-quarters combat anyway. But the... enthusiasm here has him a little stunned. "So... does this sort of thing happen often?" he asks no one in particular.

Random Passing Orc(TM) will comment to Cameron... "Not really. Rogbar usually gets himself out of these sorts of scrapes. He's actually never missed a practice before." he will bow his head. He doesn't have anything odd. "Pillaging and humiliation isn't... my thing. Give me a clean battle. Still, if Rogbar is in actual trouble, we should help."

Alys stands near Jiga and quietly explains, "Lethal force is normal for a group like this; if someone is attacking a caravan, you do not worry about keeping them alive. Which means that Aibne's authorization is likely in the context of 'once the fight is won' rather than in the more conventional sense of during combat."

[Draylen]

"Ten-HUT!" the bear commands, watching the assembled striders fall into divisions. "Form up!" Split up, the striders grouped into divisions of ten, forming small pods. "Assemble ranks!" The pods formed into lines, weapons and instruments at the ready, and Aibne smiled darkly. "Intelligence officer Rogers! Where was Rogbar taken?"
