07.01l The Seventh Winter (Mercenary Matters)

[The Raven]

(It should be noted that the Raven will often answer a question other than the one you asked when it is vaguely worded, but today he's in a less obtuse mood)

"My arrival here... was fairly unique, in fact. Through the north tower, quite literally. I know not what contraption I used to accomplish this because I have no memory from before then. Oh yes, I might still have that on me" The Raven rummages through his pocket, and pulls out an article describing his arrival, handing it to Rogbar. Oddly, it is typeset, as if from a modern newspaper. (There is no byline, but one can make obvious assumptions about the author's identity.)

Some excerpts: "'Strange being found in north tower!' 'Damage to be repaired Tuesday' 'Raven thrown through stone walls!'"

[khadjair]

Cameron will peek quietly at the newspaper article while quietly palming two cookies as the tray comes by. He'll arch a brow, but offer nothing unsolicited insofar as commentary.

[Joshua]

"Wow, did you... print this yourself?" Rogbar asks. "I think... this might help give me a chance with Alys... Yes... I can use this. Do you know if she believed this story?"

[misfit]

Harrune will walk up to the table. "Excuse me everyone. I won't take up your time. I just wanted to let Cameron, Aibne and Raven know that we are having a short informal meeting before tomorrows celebration in Rebma. If you are interested we can give you the when and where." He holds up his deck. "You can contact me any time. Now, if you will forgive me, I should move on."

"Oh, and Rogbar...interesting choice. Good luck to you."

Unless someone makes a move to stop him, Harrune will move on.

[khadjair]

Cameron will nod to Harrune, his mind elsewhere. He starts flipping through the deck again, looking for those he knew from before, and specifically or those he hadn't met, who might be new or just weren't here the last time he came through, specifically making sure to mark Harrune's card in his mind. Wouldn't do to accidentally slight someone along the way this early.

[The Raven]

"... Believed? Of course she believed the truth..." (The Raven smirks slyly) "I suppose I could show you something that may... help you make something similar... though." The Raven smirks more openly now "As a favor."

[Joshua]

Morgana walks past on her way to the door. She will hesitate. "Aibne, Cameron, I was introdicing Alys to Ht'Gon, if you wished to be introduced at the same time... I'll be leaving in a few minutes. We can do it tomorrow if you'd prefer." Before heading to the door....

(I wasn't going to bother with the meet-up at the door scene, and just jump to here.)

[khadjair]

"If you'll excuse me, I have to attend to this. It's been a pleasure." He will take note of the details of thecompany; if nothing else, it's a potential diversion later if he needs and excuse to be out and about.

[Joshua]

Rogbar will split his attention between the Raven and Aibne... He will say to the bear, "My friend, if you wish, I will go with you. I do not want you to be alone for this meeting."

[Draylen]

"I... I dnt know, Master..." he says slowly, frowning. "I... I still have work to do, and... And..." he bows his head, closing his eyes. "I dont know... S-should I?"
