Harrune continues to examine the area. He senses and incoming Trump call and fades into a shadow to open himself to it.

Yes?

HARRUNE! HARRUNE? ARE YOU THERE?

Alaror! Stop that. There's no need to shout. I can hear you just fine.

In a somewhat sheepish tone. Sorry, I just thought that being so far away I might need to try harder. So, you wanted me to check in...

Yes. Well done. So far... Harrune gives a quick recap. Things just seem far too quiet. I have yet to learn anything truly useful. I think I'll have to try talking to a native. Give me about 5 minutes and then try to contact me again. If I don't respond immediately I may be distracted. Keep trying for at least another five before you do anything else.

Alright. Be careful. Five minutes. With that Alaror breaks contact.

Harrune waits two minutes or so and then looks for a random passerby to try to talk to.

"Excuse me. Can you help me? I seem to be lost."

[Joshua]

"Lost?" the person starts*. He's in his mid-40's, and is wearing slacks, suspenders and basically, a warehouse worker's outfit. "That's not... I mean, where are you heading?"

*: There's a massive amount of disbelief and fear attached to that word. He's terrified of you and it's from the question itself... Which doesn't make a lot of sense.

Harrune surreptitiously checks himself. No, the man couldn't have seen the sword under his trenchcoat. How odd. Harrune cocks his head. "I do not understand. What has upset you so?"

[Joshua]

"The city is clearly setup." He will object as if that's enough... Then he will force his nerves to stop shaking. "A- Are you new here?*"

*: It's a trap!

"As a matter of fact, I just arrived. It's my understanding that someone from here has visited my home so I thought a visit in return would be the courteous thing to do. Perhaps we could chat and come to a mutual understanding."*

*Of course it won't be that easy, but the reaction should be interesting.

[Joshua]

The man backs away slowly... before running for his life screaming "Constable! Constable!! Outsider!" I'd say you have about a ninety second response time; it is a police state after-all.

"That wasn't a terribly friendly response. Well, I am here to learn a few things, so I may as well wait long enough to see how they respond." Harrune will stroll to a defensible location and casually (at least on the surface) wait to see what develops.

84 seconds later, several model-T style cars arrive with a half-dozen police officers. They are armed with some sort of pistol thing and clubs, although only the clubs are out. Radios in the cars relay information about another car that has stopped the panicked citizen and is interrogating him about the incident.

They spread out in a remarkably effective search pattern to locate Harrune.

Harrune is making no effort to hide. He just wants to make sure he's not too exposed if it comes down to a fight. They should find him in very short order.

[Joshua]

Upon finding you, they make a basic attempt to make an arrest, although quickly, they will call over the sergeant to handle conversation.

"Outsider, what is your purpose here?" He will demand. "Why have you not announced yourself properly?"

This is only about half of a cover for the rest of the officers to get into better positions. They are clearly expecting trouble and going along multiple lines to stop the threat. Also of note, the presence of being watched has not grown or intensified so far.
