Brief interlude at superhero Family feud. Apparently that fell apart rapidly... and we shall not speak of it again. (Bad Xark! Bad! Don't point out Superman's bad writers!)
Introducing previous villains of:
Damien (Living Vampire Lawyer from before)
Reverb (living kenetic battery that explodes like a bomb)
Gizmobug (gadgeteer with bug theme Enemy of Misfire)
Lady Garlot (Mad hatter variant enemy of Stryker/Xark from teh Land of Make Believe)
(Elaine of Garlot is the daughter of Gorlois, Duke of Cornwall, and Igraine. She is a sister of Morgan le Fay and Morgause and a half-sister of King Arthur.)
Iktomi (trickster spirit, under community service requirements)
"Hey, Iktomi, says here you're a powerful spirit entity. How are you liking earth?"
"(angry) I will abide by the terms of the community service contract!"

A new hero emerges! June 22nd, 2017
Alex Smythe sneaks into his parents top-secret laboratory (read: rummages through the trash) and finds a ruby ring. This ring bonds with him turning him into the new hero: Power Boy!
Meanwhile, Soul Ring was told that if he wants to be a true hero and not a side-kick, he needs to mentor this new hero. Knowing the Nephilim (founders of the galactic choir) will arrive, he shows up to enlist the help of the group.
Sould Ring and Xark(?) talk to Alex's parents, and discover they're researching magic rings. They're also heads of a corporation and live in a penthouse. (Soul Ring flew up there.)
The group finds the high-school that Alex is taking a final in as a Nephilim (Aquatic) spaceship lands in the nearby bay. There's a bit of an argument / battle between the Nephilim and the group, but Alex agrees to take on the responsibility of the galactic choir (and the nephilim has a headache after discussing morality with Jacob).
The next day, during Alex's makeup exam, a large group of reanimated animals (including a zombie winged-t-rex that attacked a few years prior) stormed teh school. They were also driven off.
In the aftermath, Retrofit and Jacob fixed the school building.

Re: Teen Justice Comic (Game Recap)
Race to the Ancient Temple, two issue spectacular!
the issue starts with a lone foot-long roach sneaking into the base, and getting jumped by a psychotic rhoomba. After a fight, the roach is put in a tupperware container, and the team decide to move Ace from the rhoomba to 80s robot.
A conversation with Tzikk reveals his bodies were killed when he tried to find a dark tablet that was in the amazon basin. Killed by some power that prevented them from being simply resurrected or reanimated. So, he sought shelter at the team, since they would not simply kill him.
The team assempled and took a boat into the amazon. Along the way, they were ambushed by a group of Pyrrtar, with pulsers and some n'th metal (null-metal). There was a dagger that was able to shut down Jacob's magic.
In the second issue:
The group is racing toward a pyramid built by a tupi tribe in the amazon river basin. They use their captive from the ambush to determine who will be there. the group splits up, Jacob investigating the temple while the group ambushes the pyrrtar military.
Jacob steals the tablet which is a black obsidian mirror. Said mirror creates an evil duplicate of him. he convinces the duplicate to fight along side them... although the evil-jacob does try to kill everyone during the big skirmish.
one of the Pyrrtar shoots up on some kind of god-juice, turning from a quadriplegic with a walker device to a god, tuning reality to his whim. The group fights him... retrofit dismantling the power-suit while jacob grows to a giant, and the duplicate blows up. (the others are taking out Pyrrtar soldiers.)
the fight culminates with Rethrofit punching the god-elder... and apparently ignoring his defenses and ability to regenerate. Somehow, the synthesis project allows him to ignore the divine power.
(Seventh and eighth advancements given. the group is now "veterans".)

Leader?
Last game, the group arrived at teh United League of Parahumans to discover Jacob's parents arguing with Misfire's publicist.
The team talks about leaders and decides that Jacob will be the 'face' while Misfire is the leader on paper. They do talk more about it though... and well, decide to argue with the publicist. Ultimately deciding that if they choose team colors, Misfire can change his outfit from the 'merica! colors he's ben stuck with.
Retrofit talks to Cryptic who relays she was able to figure out some of Syn-60's design notes. Including the integration of a 'spiritual antibody' Shift had developed from his long standing battle with chthonic entities in an effort by C.H.E.S.S. to create a defensive super-soldier. (Also, it confirms that Syn-59, 60 and 61 represent Shift's Seismic, Sonic and Light wave-modes respectively.) She gave him a copy of the notes... but at the end of their visit as she had to hand-copy them using her powers to understand.
There's a talk about who owns Retrofit (as he still things of himself as an artificial life-form), and the team says he's his own person.
On team colors, the group settles on black and red and divvy up accent colors.
As for what they decide to deal with: The alien invasion, and getting Misfire his soul back.
