Continued from Chapter XIV. Englesworth procures both a scroll of water breathing, and a water-proof case to put it in. The specialist turns out to be a relatively ordinary looking man - the sort you'd never give even a first glance if he was standing in a crowd - who introduces himself as "Daniels". Aside from that, he doesn't seem to have anything to say. Wanted signs for Maya are up all over the city by now; even with your disguise, it's probably a better notion to stick to the tunnels as much as possible. |

Mark is able to provide six hours of water breathing for the five of you. (Maya, Fierce, Fang, Vorel, and Daniels.) Actually getting to the trapped area takes about half an hour of that time - though, since you're rather better at swimming than the rest, you could easily stop by where you were able to communicate with Kerberos yesterday. |

I do not believe so. At the very least, my scouts have not encountered her. Still, I was not able to make many, so it is certainly possible... |

When you arrive, Daniels is happily puttering away; he's on the far side of the pit trap, now, with his head and arms stuck into a hole in the wall. From this spot you can hear mutterings like "Woah - is that a genuine Bloody Stupid Johnson hedge trimmer? And they've even loaded it with violet sedge-mold poison!" accompanied by the occasional click or sproing. Vorel stands some distance back, watching calmly. |

Daniels makes slow progress down the corridor, eventually reaching the door at the far end. Towards the end he works silently; while he can disarm traps, any creatures that might be on the far side are your problem, not his. |

Fang will suggest allowing him to sniff the door before opening it. He'll quietly inform everyone there are one or more of the serpents we fought before behind that door. Maya will swear quietly under her breath and inform everyone of them and what she knows about them. |
