Kerberos' hand goes to his throat. Whatever injury it was that cost me my eye, also cost my voice. I speak telepathically because that is the only way I can. Though perhaps that is a good thing... Certainly, my escape would not have been so easy if my captors had thought me more intelligent than some mere beast.

"Well then, welcome to the pack if you choose. As your eye is our focus we could do no less than make you the offer. You've proven yourself in battle and should not slow us down."

Kerberos kneels before you. I accept. Thank you; that is... more than I could have asked for.

Turns to Vorel: "Thank you for your assistance, even if I'm still unsure of the reasons for it."

Fierce to Kerberos: Welcome to the pack.

Fang: Hmmph, we'll see.

Maya: "With your permission. We'd like to wait here for Englesworth."

Vorel... isn't there. She must have wandered off while you weren't watching.

She turns up about ten minutes later. "Well, that's that, then. I've informed my guild of what we found down there, and I'm going to be leaving the city now. You're welcome to use this house as long as you're here; I don't expect to be back any time soon."

"Thank you for your assistance."

We wait for Englesworth.

Englesworth arrives that evening. "Hey. How'd your rescue go?"

"Frustratingly simple. What'd you find out?"

"Nothing specific yet; all I've found so far are either generalized descriptions of encounters with fey nobles, or very nicely detailed and specific encounters with fey nobles that aren't the ones you're looking for."

Crosses arms. "That's not much to work with."
