Silver Insanity

"Oh. He's not?" The chromatikin looks confused for a moment, but then explains, "Anyway, once the guy you were traveling with woke up and found out what had happened, he hired me to come rescue you."

Maya: "That was odd of him. So I take it I'm not going to have to fight you again, yet. Good, cause I'm not fully recovered yet and I'd rather not fight you with you having another head start. Is everyone in uniform useless around here?"

"Some more than others; the King's Guard are the worst, though."

She cocks her head sideways and looks at you carefully. "Yeah, you do still seem a bit under the weather. Let's go fix that." And she starts down the street.

Maya will follow: "I want a rematch some day."

"Sure. Might want to wait until you've dealt with whoever all is after you, though; I doubt either of them will just give up."

The road eventually leads into a massive park. Flowers grow in geometric patterns amidst groves of trees. Traffic is much reduced here, though there are still a few people wandering and enjoying the view, or tending to the plants.

Maya: "Oh I intend to, trust me, I intend to. I'm truly pissed off, people generally don't piss me off and live."

"Speaking of which, that bard of yours is off trying to find out more about Flodmore than I knew. Said he'll probably be out for the rest of the day working on that."

Maya: "In that case I'm going to continue my search for now, it may be connected." She continues walking with her and brooding thoughtfully. "Say you wouldn't happen to know an outside access to the sewer would you?"

"Of course I do. Why? And may I ask what you were looking for down there?"

A small temple to Feruna comes into view, its walls overgrown with ivy and flowers, and surrounded by small carefully tended plots of various plants both common and exotic.

Maya: "So I can take my pack with me on my hunt, and apparently I have another member of my pack down there that I neither invited to be a part of my pack nor know of. We are all connected through a magic item, and even at a distance I can sense the direction of any of my pack members so long as they are on the same plane of existence. Well such a ping has shown up in the sewer below this city."
