Two merfolk guards will swim out of Rebma to meet a giant otter who is arriving. After a few greetings, they'll realize the otter doesn't actually breathe water and gesture into an entrance. The water is held at bay by a fairly minor enchantment, and it opens into a coral room filled with air.
The guards tap their tridents on the ground lightly, and one will step forward. "Welcome to Rebma, newcomer. I'm-"
He will be interrupted as a skeletal, bug-like insect bursts into the room. "I'm Corystes Razorspine, Warden of the Rebma Guard." She will say. "I heard word of a new... forgive this, but who requests entrance to our realm?"

Ch'talo will arrive in his dire otter form, a great beast the size of a horse, then will shift to his more anthropomorphic form, bearing his spear* and some pouches**, modest enough for public but just barely.
"I am Ch'talo Darkwater, The Hunter of Blood and Shadow, Chosen of Luna, god-chief of the Witherbranch beastkin, Speaker for the gods and... apparently, Scion of Pattern... after a fashion. I have already met with the Lord of the Realm, and was told this was where I would find a place."
He pauses for a moment, thinking. "I require little in the line of comforts, though I would ask that I be in a place with both air and water. I have slept as a fish before and it is not the most pleasant sensation, I assure you."

Ch'talo inclines his head to the newcomer. "Two or three centuries come and they start to collect like moss. But when making introductions, isn't it better to be complete and honest?" He smiles, showing just a little too much fang at that.

Corystes will bow to Ch'talo. "Of course, I'll have quarters made up immediately. Were you expecting to stay?" She will ask. "Often we get more warning than this."
She will... not respond to the Raven's introduction. "Uh, he isn't of this court, but if you wish to vouch for him, I would be willing to take you both to Lady Ashara. At the least, she requests an audience of the potential newcomer."

Ch'talo looks askance for a moment as he considers how to answer this. He takes a deep breath and gives a surprisingly apologetic smile.
"I'm not sure how long I'll stay, but Dworkin and some others seem to think I will be, and that I will be staying here. At least I'm near the water, which is more like home than I would have expected. So it might be best to consider that I will be staying some time, though of course it would be at the Lady's pleasure and permission."
He looks to Raven for a moment, then back. "If you're asking me to vouch... I only just met this one. If you're asking him, well, I believe it's the same thing. Either way, I'm likely the newcomer you were forewarned of, however so slight. Trust me, this wasn't planned; this morning I was planning on consuming the heart of my enemy, though that has been denied me for the time being."
He looks at his spear then. "This serves as a staff of office, but I understand if for now it would be best for me to leave it with your guards. First impressions and all."

The walkway gets wider, made of nicer marble, and the coral that occasionally interrupts becomes more and more blended into the design. After about ten to twenty minutes, you come to a ornate set of double-doors, sculpted out of the largest coral you're likely to have seen.
They open into a huge chamber with a handful of hastily assembled members of Rebma's court. A handful of merfolk, some fish-people (Sahuagin or people of the black lagoon), most are wearing those lose-fitting silk dresses and outfits. A handful took the time to put on more complex garb, and there's plenty of coral and other jewelry.
On a raised platform opposite the entrance there is a pair of metal-wrought green-copper and gold thrones set with pearls of various hues, black, white and a giant purple one at the top of the ruler's throne.
The steward is a very elfin looking nymph, wearing a very formal white dress, and a headdress that accentuates the pointed ears and gill-like structures on her head. She bows and walks across the room to greet Ch'talo. (she already knows Raven, I think...) "Greetings and welcome to Rebma. I am Ashara, Regent of Rebma."

Ch'talo takes a hunter's eye look at everything as he passes, noting where there are quick accesses to water and where he can zip in for a quick breath before swimming anew. He smiles just a little at the rose petals - he appreciates the gesture, certainly.
