Human:
(Teleportation deserves its own thread.)
When in doubt, think Alien or Aliens. (not resurection... and without androids.)

Space travel is usually performed with gravity drives, capable of about .6 c, although that's with a bit of acceleration. More acceleration means more energy used, so... Earth to Europa is about a two weeks travel time for most people, speeders can do it in about two to four hours if traveling at unsafe speed in a custom rig or burning lots of fuel. This does allow for artificial gravity.
  • Exploding gravity drives pull about 6 - 20 Gs of force, depending on the drive. If you read Schlock, this isn't enough to gravy anyone, not can it be pinpointed within the ship. It's more, that if the engine explodes, it's the gravity wave that messes you up, not the explosion itself.
  • Most spacefarers train in various changing gravity levels. All flight suits and combat gear contains compression gear to help prevent death in the case of a grav-drive explosion.
  • When a ship docks, the larger ship's gravity overrides the smaller ships gravity. Most people find this mildly nauseating, but get used to it. Similar to sea-sickness. Sliders are particularly vulnerable to this disorientation.

Computers are quantum zeno-machine devices, capable of performing near infinite processing, and way more power and storage than needed. HOWEVER, they're relatively dumb. So, infinite loops, memory leaks, etc... can cause a lot of problems. Programming skill is still not great, and AI isn't intelligent, sapient or all that helpful...
  • Quantum computers are too fast for a 'normal' person to use to full effect. Shreds are particularly bad at it.
  • Twin computer setups for sliders are common, where one half of the screen is used for one location, and the other half is for the second. These have some interesting issues as the slider's body synch in real time, and the two halves of the computer can only synch at light speed. (Earth to Titan has over an hour delay. Even Earth to Mars is about 14 minutes.

Weapons are still mostly conventional slugthrowers. Automatic and semi-automatic rifles. Sniper stuff, etc. Panther's are particularly vulnerable to buckshot variants, so shotguns are common. As human armor is fairly resistant to that.
  • Some energy weapons exist, however Panthers are particularly resistant to them, so they've stagnated.
  • Gravity based defenses are vehicle size or larger, so... no personal shields. That being said, a powered suit CAN have a small grav generator that can lessen the effects of a gravity wave.

Cyberware is a thing.
  • Shreds have great difficulty with cyberware. It NEVER feels like a part of them. Likewise, Shreds don't suffer from phantom-limb syndrome.
  • Sliders get very messed up if their bodies do not have the exact same cyberware. (Preferably teleporter-cloned.)
  • Cyberware screws up a Friar's necromancy. This is more akin to essence-loss in Shadowrun. There are... disturbing ways around this.

Vehicles... While grav-drive vehicles exist, and for flight, the grav-drive is very versatile, it's not very efficient inside an atmosphere. thus, land vehicles are mostly just evolved versions of electric and other devices. Air travel, depends on if you want to go off world or not... and again, space ships devote a lot of space to power stations, which makes jet engines more efficient for airplanes that are only for use inside an atmosphere.

Teleporters can be used for manufacturing, however, they take a lot of energy and need precise amounts of the base elements. Still, sometimes that is what ya got. (more about this on teleporters)

Panthers

Panther's don't have a full culture. Many of their vehicles and conventional items are 'dumbed down' versions of Na’zothuss technology. Those living with humans tend to only keep their personal weapons.

Panthers have what looks a bit like part of a chicken wing attached where their clavicle bone is. The tips of these can deliver a powerful electric charge. In addition, the Panther's fingernails can also do this. When the panther generates electricity, their skin absorbs all light, and they appear to ooze darkness from their skin. Many personal weapons tie in to this.

Personal Shields: Humans long thought these suits lacked a power-source. Turns out the clavical-wings* plug into the collar of the suit. This force field deflects bullets by draining the panther's personal energy reserve.
  • The drain is based more on the number of projectiles rather than the velocity of the projectile. Buckshot runs the energy levels down significantly faster than a single bullet.
  • Energy blasts and fire take much less energy to deflect.
  • The suit is fairly form fitting, and has holes cut into it. It's designed to allow the darkness to shroud the panther when in use.

Force Shields: A hand-held device that drains power through the panther's fingernails. It creates a directional hard-shield. This is hard as steel, and drains power based on time used. The average panther can maintain the shield for about five minutes at a time, if they're using the full set.

Force Swords: Again, a hand-held device that projects a sharp blade-shaped force-shield. These things cut like light-sabers, and are capable of damaging even vehicle armor.
Blasters: Not technically a separate weapon, a panther's sword can be overloaded. It fires instantly, but takes about 30 seconds off the duration of the sword, and hits with enough force to punch through marine armor... mostly... the sword is a melee weapon, and is much more dangerous as such. Blasts are used for surprise or at times when there is no other option.

*: I need another name for that.

Na’zothuss (Nephilim)

Very advanced magitech. A chunk of them are organic or grown. Their computers are sentient.

Spaceships use a grav-drive with a top speed of about .9 c, and have much less issues with acceleration. All Nephilim spaceships are aquatic, and often have drills for flying through ice. (did I mention they have a colony on europa?)

The most common melee weapon is the Reaper Scythe. It is a staff that creates a force-blade, and can fire energy blasts capable of punching through vehicle armor.

Naphilim don't usually bother with armor, instead relying on their magic.
