Supervillian Digest

Post by Joshua » Fri Feb 03, 2017 2:47 pm

Supervillians who have shown up or exist in this continuity. This is for individuals, not races. Although, I might list groups. When it gets big enough, I might divide this into categories.
  • Bones
  • C.H.E.S.S.
  • Dante Lancaster: A 'living' vampire of Bones and a former prosecuting attorney.
  • Humor
  • Tautlorn Scouts
  • Tzzkk
  • Syn-59 (referenced only), one of the three 'viable' results of Project Synthesis.
  • Syn-61

Bones

Bones is a master necromancer who works through a large mass of minions. Sometimes literally, as Bones regularly possesses and manipulates them with magic. Whether they have free will is a matter for debate*.

Bones has regularly tried to infiltrate positions of power with his zombies and vampires. However, they have been found out by numerous heroes including Shift and Plasto. These attempts have grown more sophisticated over time. Especially within the last 5 or so years**, when Bones has been able to better mask the necromantic energies at the expense of the minions power.

Minions:
  • 'Living' Vampires: While still undead, they are capable of walking in sunlight and eating solid food. They have minor regeneration and heightened physical abilities. They still require blood to survive and cannot regenerate fire damage.
  • Shadow Wolves: A wolf skeleton wrapped in shadow, these beasts are capable of teleporting through shadow and are quite stealthy. Bones regularly sees through their eyes when they are scouting.

*: (OOC) So, if oyu want to try convincing one to turn, it's not impossible. Or if you'd prefer soulless puppets to just kill, that can be arranged as well.
**: After an 'incident' with Misfire.

Humor

Humor is a sentient emotion. Specifically, joy. Humor is also a sociopathic, psychotic killer. He loves killing people in violent, sometimes ironic ways. He prefers to do things he finds funny, but his sense of humor is horribly dark.

Humor can grab a host body and take total control. This can ONLY happen if the host has no joy or humor left inside of them and experiences some traumatic event that would cause them to snap. Even in a city as large as New York, there is usually less than a dozen suitable hosts for Humor at any given time.
As a reminder, a single genuine laugh will permanently expel Humor from a host. (Although, it must be the host that laughs, not Humor.)

While he's practically a force of nature, his limited host options and narrow focus usually prevent the damage from spreading too far.

Great concept for a villain, Joshua. It reminds me of Joker, in a weird way.

Loosely inspired by. I was trying for that level of villian, but not a direct ripoff.
