Name: Lauren Greywind
Race: Human
Gender: Female

Description:
Lauren is a short (5'1") and slim (~97lbs) young woman with straight raven-black hair and a light complexion. She has brilliant green eyes that, if you look closely, seem to sparkle with every color of the rainbow. The rest of her face, though pretty enough to have incited poetry in any other frame, is by comparison unremarkable.
Her hair comes to a few inches below her shoulders, and she always leaves it unbound. Somehow, though, it never seems to get in her way, or get caught on anything - one of the perks of being a sorcerer.
Unlike most sorcerers (and unlike most noblewomen, for that matter), Lauren does keep herself physically fit; there is hardly any trace of fat on her, and most people's first impression is that she must be some sort of martial artist or fencer.

Lauren is most often seen wearing supple leather blouse and breeches - adventurer's gear suitable for hard work or outdoor travel. On those occasions when she has to wear something more formal, she favors plain, conservatively cut dresses in dark blue. Regardless, she always wears a simple silver torc, a pair of silver bracers each set with a single white stone, an adamantine ring on the index finger of her left hand, and a dark blue headband.

Reputation:
Strength: 16
Dexterity: 22
Constitution: 22
Intelligence: 24
Wisdom: 18
Charisma: 32

Lauren has not yet acquired much of a reputation in her own name - though she is fairly well known in a few limited circles.

The Greywind family, however, has a fairly solid reputation. Originally just another adventuring party, the first Greywinds performed so admirably in the defense of the kingdom of Catian that they were granted a fiefdom in the area they had saved from orcish invasion. Since then, they have produced a long line of sorcerers and adventurers, and have managed to stop no less than three orc invasions - the orcs have come to call the place "Kurk Na'Rulth", literally, the valley of death. Despite (or perhaps because of) this, other nobility tends to look down on the Greywinds, regarding them as upstarts and pretenders.

Lauren, personally, has managed to establish a small reputation amongst scholars for a series of insightful papers on her excavations of an early third age traveller's inn.

The other part of Lauren's personal reputation requires a bit more explanation. Lauren is, technically, a bastard, since her mother (The lady Eleanor Greywind) never married. However, as an only child, Lauren still stands to inherit the fief. That, combined with her great beauty, once sent a long line of noble suitors in her direction. She gleefully abused this to provide a source of free manual labor for her archeological excavations, until eventually word got around, and the stream of suitors trickled down to almost nothing. Few nobles are willing to get their hands dirty with actual work, no matter how enticing the reward.

The silver torc Lauren wears is, in fact, an artifact - one of the ones she stole from a weapons research project - with, so far, two known powers.
One: it clearly isn't important.
Two: it enables (or enhances pre-existing?) shapeshifting abilities.

So far, she's demonstrated access to two different forms: her normal human one, and a red chromatikin disguise. In this disguise, she normally wears a plain brown robe, of the generic 'all-concealing' brand. Useful for when you want to appear relatively uninteresting, but don't want to put away all the defensive magic items you normally wear...
