Jiga puts a talon lightly on Rogbar's arm to draw his attention and asks, "How about I take advantage of your good taste and chivalry and ask you to pick me out something pleasant to drink?"

"Of course. Perhaps one of the moonlit night ales. I believe I saw the dwarf who sells that earlier." Rogbar will observe. He will bow to Alys. "Forgive MI'lady. Perhaps we can continue another time."

He will offer to show Jiga to the shopkeeper.

Alys tilts her head to one side, watching the departing cat, her expression carefully neutral. "Yes. You still owe me a sparring match - and there is a matter of business to discuss as well. Still, neither need occur this evening."

On the last sentence, Alys eyes flick to Jiga for a moment, accompanied by an almost imperceptible nod to the tengu.*

_____
* This roughly translates as telling Jiga that she's welcome to claim Rogbar's evening for herself; it's a subtle "I see that you are pulling Rogbar away from this scene, and do not disapprove."

Jiga will follow Rogbar off to the shopkeeper but looks back curiously at Alys as she leaves, unsure how to interpret her words and expression.* Once out of earshot she will say "I don't intend to monopolize all of your time for yet another evening. As much as I'd like a drink, that doesn't preclude us from continuing to socialize."

*:As a note, the player understands Aly's intentions but Jiga seems somewhat unclear.

Rogbar will lead Jiga off into the festival. (Into another thread if needed.) So the previous conversation can continue...

Cameron shrugs. "Clearly there is a lot of politics I'm entirely naive on. But that having been said, I've not run into anyone else who seems to blend my role with being an Amberite, so..."

He offers a hand (the other holding an empty mug and one mostly empty) to Alys. "I recall seeing you at the ball the other night, but I'm not sure we've been formally introduced. I am Cameron MacAllister, Craftsman of Ht'gon." He's a little flustered-seeming, mostly from uncertainty about formal address.

Alys smiles, and grasps Cameron's wrist in a firm warrior's handshake. "I am Lady Alystrakos Obsidia Sybaris; you are welcome to call me Alys."

"What sort of crafts, if I may ask? There are a few things I intend to commission; perhaps you could point me to appropriate artisans for some of them..."

Cameron is only momentarily surprised by Alys's handshake, but returns it heartily, smiling broadly.

"Well, I am a trained mechanician, but I am good with the forge, with wood, with stone, jewelry and even leather and fabric though I am no tailor. And though I am still getting my bearings, it would be a good exercise for me to get to know who would be the other specialists. And while I have little training in the sorcerous aspects I have an assistant who is, and it is something I suspect I will be learning sooner rather than later as well."

"If you have the time, I'm just here taking in the sights so would be available to talk a little shop."

"Well," Alys says, starting to slowly walk around the tournament grounds*, "I have been thinking that, what with all the festivities, it might be appropriate for me to offer gifts to a few people - although, given the short notice, I expect that few if any of them will be ready by the festival's end. Specifically, I would be looking for a set of glass daggers, a metal-framed hand-harp, a handful of spiked bracelets, several blades with varying decorations..." She'll go on to list some further items and details**, ending with, "And one more item that I am not telling you about, but which should be well within the skills of any set of artisans capable of producing the rest of what I've listed."

_____
* Given Cameron's warfare, it should be clear that this is not aimless wandering; Alys is intending for the group to end up near the gnome and goblin announcers at a point in time not long after both Cameron and Thanos have finished their current drinks.
** It should be fairly clear that her intended gift list includes everyone in Dworkin's deck, plus a few other individuals she's taken some liking to. And yes, every item is in some way a weapon - or, in some cases (like the harp), several weapons in one inconspicuous package.
For some of the items, the intended recipient is obvious - the harp is meant for Aibne, the spiked "bracelets" would make Asai's tail even more dangerous than it already is, the rose-and-thorn patterned spiked blade (think something like a sharktooth sword or macuahuitl) is probably meant for Rogbar, etc. Others - like the set of glass daggers - likely require some application of process of elimination (this particular example is meant for Ossian).

Cameron will consider the list for a time as they walk and talk. "I need to resist the urge to offer my services directly on this; I may be able to work quickly but to do this well... For the glassworks.. I think Thanus here may be the best that I'm aware of, as that is his specialty and in fact part of why we were talking. Some of the other things... I may be able to provide, but I don't want to overcommit and you clearly want someone else to work on something special anyway. For any metalwork... my new assistant would likely be best-suited. I've seen him work mithril with speed and precision that is positively astounding, and other metalwork, well, I imagine is well inside his purview."

"I also get the sense you want some measure of discression, which is why I recommend the new assistant rather than one of the established craftsmen. For the leatherworks.. I'm not sure yet, but there are a number of artisans amongst the orcs and it would be good for me to find the best. There's some cultural engineering I need to engage in anyway."

"And of these, I may be best suited to the harp, since it is both intricate and subtle and I can do both. If that would meet with your approval, of course."

Also of note is that Cameron drinks alcohol like water. So he may grab a refill at least once on the course of the circuit, though wisely this time it will be only one mug rather than two.
