In the midst of the early morning bustle of the docks, a burst of colorful sparks appears and reveals Harrune. He is looking much more rested and cheerful than when we left the night before. He is accompanied by three other Cani: a female (who resembles as greyhound), and two males (golden retriever and doberman). The newcomers quickly begin to rub their noses. Harrune smiles. "Welcome to Amber. I had forgotten how overwhelming the smell here can be. You will get used to it in time." Harrune sniffs. "I see what they mean about the harbor. We'll definitely have to address that."

Krae (the doberman) speaks in a voice tinged with awe, "I know you told us what to expect, but the words don't do it justice. Its all so strange. That must be the harbor...and that, is that the Castle you spoke of?"

"Yes, that's Castle Amber. We'll have to get you there for a visit...Thiane! Are you alright?"

Thiane is staring at the sky. She whispers, "The sky. Its so empty. No gods. No moon. No Fencers. Even the sun looks so odd."

Harrune puts a comforting arm around her. "I know. Amber is a place of wonders, but the sky is so bland. Sadly it's like that in most of the shadows that I've visited. Anyter, how are you doing?"

The retriever has a big grin on his face and his tail is wagging. "The sky may be dull, but the rest is amazing. I can't wait to get to know it all."

"For now let's get Thiane and Krae home to Cheknou and Lahrang. And no doubt Fiarel is looking forward to seeing you too. There will be plenty of time to explore later."

Harrune beings to guide them off into the city.

(OOC: Sorry for the delay folks. Real life has been kicking my butt and I've had some major writer's block. At least I've got something up again. The writer's block has really been hitting me really hard on Harrune's trip home. It was nothing monumental, but I'll put it in as a flashback scene when I can.)

At the edge of the docks, there's a flicker of motion and a faint whiff of sulfur as Tinder strobes past - he's not actually running any faster than you'd expect for a regular canine, but every few feet he seems to fold sideways* and teleport forward. If nobody interrupts him**, he ducks into the tunnel down to Rebma and is quickly out of sight.

_____
* Those from the World Tree will recognize this as being the same sort of impossible "sideways" that comes up when dealing with locador magic.
** Harrune, at least, should have the warfare to react here, should he choose to do so. And the warfare to recognize that, while Tinder is making an effort to be inconspicuous, he is currently prioritizing speed over anything else.

Harrune spends a few seconds dithering on the choice here. In the end, he opts for family over curiosity He will continue to guide them to their new home while giving them a basic guided tour along the way.

(OOC: For all Harrune knows, Tinder is on a mundane task. Harrune is assuming that if it was something important and that he needed to know someone would be kind enough to contact him via trump. On the other hand, though he tried to prepare his new family as best he could, they are experiencing some major sensory overload. They have never seen a city like this before, or the castle, or especially the ocean. Add in all the smells on top of that. Dragging them down in Rebma at the moment would just add whole new levels to all of that.)

((OOC: I kinda figured Harrune was unlikely to interfere. But you were there, and Tinder would pretty much have to go right by you if he wasn't swimming - and he'd really rather not be swimming, given any choice in the matter at all. Consider it adding a bit of "local color" to your thread. Or something like that.))

So, without any major incidents Harrune and company make it back home. Long story short: he gets the new members of the family settled in, endures the exasperation of others over his antics of the night before and retrieves his Trump card from Cheknou. He will send messengers out with notes to Ashara, Morgana, Oberon and the Orr family.
