07.01g: The Seventh Winter (Refreshments)

[The Raven]

Raven will quickly shake hands with Cameron.

"I only recently arrived as well. It can be a lot to take in."

Cameron nods a little, finishing his glass and setting the empty aside.

"Indeed. The last time I tried I ran away for five years. Well, only one, but... You probably know how it is."

[khadjair]

(Also, an OOC note: I'm going to be away on RL obligations from tomorrow afternoon until Monday night.)

[Joshua]

(OOC: If you wish, Dworkin or Quin can pull Cameraon aside for the weekend.)

[Draylen]

Aibne follows the raven, glancing at the drink. His eyes roam the refreshment table, before setting the glass down and lifting a large horn, sipping at it slowly. "mmm. Its been some time since I've had good mead," he says almost wistfully for a moment, downing the contents of the horn fairly rapidly. He closes his eyes and smiles a little, before sighing. "Alas, that I have neither lute nor gittern..." he mumbles to himself, nodding at the Orc in greeting.

[Joshua]

One of the attendants, upon overhearing Aibne's lament, dashes from the room. (relatively quietly, but it is sudden motion.)

[The Raven]

"Ah, yes, explaining time is quite a bother around here. Regardless... I think it is about time to find a table, yes?"

With that, the Raven surveys the surrounding tables.

[Rasanam]

OOC: As mentioned here, there are a number of options for nearby tables. For example:

• The Shadow Striders (Grumbling about Rogbar the Mighty's new crush.)
• Father-Confessor Lane is talking to Guildmaster Teusus at one table.
• A small group of off duty guards of Amber at at one table.

I'd think one of the first two of those could prove reasonably entertaining.

"It's been a year, mayhap longer," he says, raising his eyebrows and refilling the horn. He glances at the table with his current commander, and considers, frowning. "Well..." he starts, glancing over the room again, sighing. "I probably should go see lieutenant Rogers..." he says slowly, his eyes roving the crowd for Ayum. The dwarf has started to move over, attempting to eavesdrop on the guildmaster.

After deliberation, he slowly strides over to the other shadow Striders, holding his horn.
