Morning sees Rasanam in Faetown, attending to various matters involving rare item acquisition, land ownership, and fireproofing.

Rasanam also has no objections to the various detection spells, though it's worth noting that he does have a mage sight spell running; in terms of the setting, it probably registers as a 'strong' (spell level 7-9) divination. "Odd devices," he adds. "Not much that's like them outside....

Rasanam will take up the role of referee, using an illusion spell to fill in grey fog or illusions of enemy pieces as appropriate.

Rasanam gestures to the totems. "That seems a bit out of place. Shall we start our investigation there, then?"

"Oh, hello again, Mr. Johnson; thank you." Rasanam cheerfully avails himself of a second pastry, and gets halfway through it before getting a slightly puzzled expression. "Wait. You weren't entirely talking about the pastries, were you?"

Rasanam looks around as well, putting up a quick mage sight spell and looking for anything that seems to be either a wizard lab sort of building or a central temple.

Rasanam pauses his sketching to head over and examine the light instead. After several moments he nods, "I think so."

He tucks the sketchbook away, takes Lyra's hand, and prepares to step into the pillar with her.
