Silver Insanity

Rumor places the Lady Greywind in the Keep, staying on the King's hospitality. It is a simple enough matter to gain admittance through the servant's entrance, and little more difficult (albeit time consuming due to the sheer number of stairs involved) to find and reach her quarters.

Of course, the only person currently there is a single maidservant, carefully putting away clean laundry.

"Lady Greywind! We have traveled far, bearing news that I can only conclude is of utmost importance!"
Ametrine genuflects on Mr. Willoughby's shoulder.

Willoughby nods slowly, and tips his hat.

The maid doesn't even look up (which, given the presence of Ametrine, is probably good for her peace of mind). "The Lady Greywind is currently at a supper meeting with the King. If you have business with her, you can wait in the drawing room until she returns."

"Good afternoon, Eileen. Are you enjoying your stay in Greenspring?"

"Mr. Willoughby! Why, yes, I- Eeek!" she exclaims, having made the mistake of looking up and noticing Ametrine. What laundry remains un-put-away is now piled on the floor, except for one sheet that Eileen is holding as if it was some sort of shield.

"Heavens, I'm sorry, Eileen. I shouldn't have surprised you like that. My companion here is named Ametrine, and he's very friendly and pleasant to be around. You'll like him, honest. Here, let me get the laundry for you." Willoughby scoops up the laundry and deftly sorts it. "Ametrine, this is Eileen. She is a very capable maid and a shrewd bridge player, among other things."

"Nice to meet you!" says Ametrine. "The drawing room sounds like fun, I always wanted to learn to draw."

"Oh. Oh, uh, that's alright, then. I'm sorry, I was just startled. Um. Pleased to meet you, Ametrine."

She carefully refolds the sheet and finishes putting it away.

"That's okay, Eileen, it happens all the time! We should play a game of bridge sometime."

Turning to Mr. Willoughby, Ametrine adds, "I'm a little hungry. Let's go and join the King and Lady Eleanor for supper. I can get something to eat, and you can tell them that news of utmost importance you have!"

And without waiting for a reply, the plucky yellow dragon flies off.
