"Huh. How far down?"

Maya: "I have no idea actually, further down than we were though."

"Well, there is a third level in the common tunnels, but it's completely flooded. If it's deeper than that, you'd need to go down the spring inside the castle. I've never gone very far that way myself - only so long I can hold my breath, and it never seemed worth getting magiced up for idle exploration."

"Ah, here we are." She stops at the door of the temple, and knocks twice. "Mark? I have a job for you."

There is, at least for the moment, no answer.

Maya: "Damnit!"

Mark, when he finally shows up, seems a little puzzled at the situation - but apparently knows enough about this particular chromatikin to not ask.

As he finishes healing you, the chromatikin asks, "Say, do you happen to have a water breathing spell handy? I suspect we may need one..."

"Water breathing? No, but I could have one in a few hours..." He seems about to ask why, but stops himself.

Amali looking at her quizzically: "Not that I'm ungrateful, but why are you helping me?"

She shrugs. "I like your style."

Maya looking confused on how to respond: "Then I hope this endeavor proves entertaining for you."

"So - two immediate priorities. One is to show you that entrance you wanted."

"The other is to find you some less conspicuous clothes. With the amount of money your enemies have demonstrated themselves willing to throw around, I wouldn't be surprised if they try to set the guards on you when the find out the Guild is no longer accepting contracts on you. And even if you can fight off the city guards, it's ever so much easier if they just never know how to spot you."

"And then we can come back here and see if Mark has that water breathing spell ready."

Maya: "The adventuring guild was taking contracts out on me? The guards will be coming after me? I need to wear normal clothes? I'm getting very very upset now."
