Description:
Gregor is rather unusual, as chromatikin go. First, his scales are pitch black (though his eyes are a more normal cat-green). Second, he stands about six feet tall - notably taller than most chromatikin, and a difference that's only emphasized by his confident attitude. And, third, he has wings.

The shining mithril breastplate he wears, and the animated shield decorated with Artemis' holy symbol, don't help him blend in, either...
Slung across his back is a massive falchion, usually a few inches short of fully stowed to allow the golden light of its blade to shine forth.

Among Chromatikin, black is seen as a sign of power and destiny. Even a few black scales is enough for one to claim a position of community leadership; a pure black chromatikin is held to even higher standards. Or doused with paint thinner.
Gregor has, so far, lived up to those standards; negotiating or fighting as needed to improve the lot of his kind, and training others to be able to do likewise.

The rest of the world sees Gregor as one of those rare chromatikin who's powerful enough that you can neither ignore him, nor put him back in his place. People have tried, of course, but the assassin's guild refuses to put out a contract on him, and few adventurers are foolish enough to ignore that sort of warning.

Just what kind of power Gregor wields varies from story to story, though. Some claim he's a mighty warrior; others claim he wields deadly magic.

Those who hail from the island city of Targrove might know a bit more of Gregor's history. He hatched there, and was trained in the ways of magic and combat by Theodin the Black (a notable chromatikin fighter-sorcerer). More recently, Gregor has taken up the mantle of paladin of Artemis, hunting down things that threaten all life, not just the chromatikin.

Gender: Male

Description:
Kailyn wears gleaming crystalline plate armor. Aside from that, he's a perfectly proportioned example of pristine white-silver equine nobility. Really, the most remarkable thing about him is that he is a unicorn; few people have seen even a single example of that reclusive race.

Kailyn has been quietly serving as Gregor's mount for several years now. As such, he has little reputation of his own. Nobody even really knows where he came from or why he's following Gregor - talk to three different bards, and you'll get five different stories.
