The golem seems unharmed by these attackers, though the same could not be said in reverse; it's already ripped off a few tentacles, and the attacks from the water are rapidly becoming much more cautious.

Remaining close the roof of the tunnel, Aurora shrugs and launches a fireball at the rat construct.

The rat construct is incapable of reaching you from the ground, and doesn't seem to have the tactical sense to use the water as cover. While it doesn't take much damage per bolt, it does take some; it can't put up much of a fight against you at this point.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the sewer monsters, whatever they are - they quickly demonstrate that they do, in fact, have the reach to attack this new (and far more appetizing) intruder upon their territory.

A pale green sphere of energy springs into being around Aurora just in time to block the tentacles' lashing attacks. A bolt of smoldering energy shoots out from inside the translucent shield, splitting into many smaller balls and slamming into the golem and any visible sewer beast bits.

This form of attack seems to be about as effective on the golem as the fire was, and the sewer beasts soon retreat underwater - though a continued spread of blood and churning of the water indicates that their battle with each other is not over.

Aurora shrugs and continues launching bolts of energy at the beleaguered construct and any sewer beast that surfaces.

After a few minutes of continued assault, the construct collapses in on itself, leaving behind only mangled remnants of what might once have been a brass rat.

Keeping a close eye on the surface of the water, Aurora drops down next to the ruined remains of the rat creature. She scoops the fragments into a pocket of her belt and lifts off the ground towards the opening above.

The sewer beasts launch a few final attacks, since you're so close by, but they can't get through your magical protections, and you are easily able to retrieve the melted remnants of the relic.

Aurora floats out of the hole in the basement and up the stairs. Grabbing the first rat she had attacked by the collar she drags him down to the other two, not bothering to cushion the trip down save to slow his drop down the broken half of the stairs. She drops his body near the other two and rocks back on her heels for a moment. She isn't averse to killing, but killing for the sake of killing alone has no real allure for her. To buy time, she tightly binds the three weres - the rope might not hold a rat but it would slow them down with any luck. Noticing that the two females are fading fast, she touches each with a faint spark of light. Aurora waits a bit for the sturdiest of the three to regain consciousness, aiding him with tiny sparks of light until he wakes.
