Silver Insanity

Belial's Brood has lain dormant in western New York. Now, they rise, an army of vampires several hundred strong to lay siege to an ancient stronghold of the Circle of the Crone. Join the defenders, warriors to fend off the horde, and scholars to find the defenses of the haven that have been lost to time.

Before the Storm is a Vampire LARP, tied into the existing world of the Between the Shadows LARP. House rules will be used (and available before and during game). A host of pregens are available, and players of all skill levels are welcome.

This is an "on" week for us. In fact, we requested the 7:30 - midnight time slot. (When we normally run.)

So, for the event, we've got a lot of pregens (most of the NPCs from the other cities are available). You can choose a pregen, or to play your own character. There are some permanent positive things that can be gained from the event. Again, we'll likely have a "reconciliation" between the event and our game. Hopefully that won't be needed.

Most likely, if you want your PC to be there, but to play a pregen during the event, we'll work out what happened to your PC afterward. Some PCs (mostly you influence types) will have little to do during the event. It's also possible they simply do not want to risk their requiems on what is likely a suicide mission.

We will need some extra judges / narrators on standby for the con. Basically, if we get 20 or 30 extra players, we will need more judges to run combat scenes, and more narrators to run exploration of the haven. There's a lot of interesting defenses to play with (and the more people who know them the better), so, if you are interested, let us know. (If you want to be a regular judge or narrator, this is a good way to give your skills a shot.)

I'm going to be working up an outline for the event in the next few weeks.

SimCon as a whole is 3 days long, but the LARP is just a Saturday overnight event.

Actually, they don't have an overnight slot... we're just running 7:30 - midnight. (similar to a normal game).

So... basically is the same game but in other place and with other people playing? if so then can you just bring some ramdom pc with rediculous amount of exp. or lets say 300 xp.
