Continued from Chapter XVII.

You are at ye olde clock & weasel shop.

The clocks vary widely, from tiny pocketwatches to massive constructions with more hands than a barrel full of monkeys. (Yes, Ametrine; the Omicron-Flanders mark seven special is still in stock.)

The weasels, on the other hand, are all terrified of Ametrine and Luma - except for one half-blind nose-deaf weasel (still) sitting and drooling in the corner, who doesn't seem to care.

The proprietress lurks under a broad-brimmed black hat, dark eyes keeping a careful watch on the contents of her shop. She seems utterly unimpressed by the array of strange beings who are now occupying the shop's main room.

Sylvia isn't here yet; she headed back by way of the academy to pick up her notes.

I haven't properly written up the whole thing, yet, but I figure a rough summary is in order.

Nothing interesting turned up from Sylvia's notes.

Mr. Willoughby arrived. Discussion ensued. Cass is not universally trusted: check. The weasel attack indicator reaches a level of "Probably not." Indeed, no weasels attack.

Teleport to the fish pond in Castle Greywind. Cass is, of course, sitting there waiting. Fish appear to be undisturbed.

Further discussion ensues. Prophecy is revealed to be generally annoying: Too much precision, and you lock yourself into a specific future - if it's the one you wanted, great. If not, tough luck. (Thurion's prophecies provide an excellent example of the dangers of being too good at seeing.) Not enough precision, and you can't figure out what you need to know.

Cass has the Crown of Eyes already; that line of the original prophecy can be safely ignored.
Cass is working towards a redemption of Hunger-In-Darkness - something that would render his imprisonment unnecessary as well as freeing him from it.
Original prophecy, followed to the letter, may not result in that goal. Some user discretion is advised.

Events currently paused at: Cass asked Luma and Stewart when she's going to be seeing some grandchildren. Both are flustered; neither has an immediate answer.

"So." Cass turns to Mr. Willoughby. "I believe there is a Mr. Jenkins who will want to speak to you before you return to Greenspring."
