The room you find yourselves in is large and vaulted, giving a deceptively open feel to a place that's over a hundred feet underground. The lighting is faint and green and wavering, produced by vats of glowing goop that line the sides of the chamber. Decaying lizardfolk (and a few gnolls) tend to the devices. Several of the least decrepit ones still bear weapons and armor.

The dracolich itself is immediately in front of you, apparently busy healing itself - though it has not yet completely recovered from your most recent attacks on the surface.

Aurora drifts up off of the ground, eyes flitting from the dracolich to the other undead scattered around the room as faint energies swirl around her tensed hands.

Stewart tosses off another green ray. "Stop resisting!"

Thirwin's sunburst* demolishes a number of the undead along the sides of the room, as well as damaging the dracolich.

Gregor, Luma, and Sorgath all land solid hits on the monster, though it's hard to say who actually did the most damage.

Ellenian fires a thin green ray at the white dragon, remarkably similar in appearance to the disintegrates Stewart has been using. However, instead of dealing damage, her spell simply covers the dragon in a faint corona of green energy.

The dracolich fires a disintegrate of its own at Stewart, and the armed undead around the room start to move to attack the party.

_____
* The source of this spell isn't actually Thirwin; it's coming from the Sun Lion's holy symbol that he's holding. Which is also now illuminating the room quite nicely.

Before the assorted lesser undead can take more than a few steps, the pent-up energies twining around Aurora's hands explode, streaking out in numerous spheres of smoking fiery energy towards every undead within her range.

Pooring arcane energy into his sword, Gregor swings coninuosly at the dracolich.

Thirwin holds the holy symbol aloft, incanting, "Darkness, withdraw your protection and release the light." The symbol flares as positive energy is channeled through and enhanced by it.

Those of the lesser undead not demolished by Aurora's attack are swept away by Thirwin's invocation of power - even the dracolich recoils for a moment.

And, at this point in the battle, a moment more is all it takes for everyone's attacks to finish it off. The thing implodes in a whirlwind of dust and bones, accompanied by "You think you've won?," and faint laughter trailing off into nothing.

"No. But we've bought time to find the phylacteries while not having to avoid the whole not dying bit. So... time to cleanse a temple and destroy a container for a soul?"

Aurora makes a rude noise as she scans the room. "Far's I'm concerned even dead's not winning, or at least not permanently so. Ask five people what 'good' is and you'll get seven different answers, don't see why death should be any simpler."
