Ametrine & Mr. Willoughby:
The expressions on the surviving flyers range from "What, do you think I'm crazy?" to "Come on down here, then, if you're so strong!" They hiss angrily at you, but show no intention of moving from their nice, safe, fire.
The orc leader's tents burn nicely, once they've been properly oiled. Cries of alarm and anger ensue, and the orcish occupants rapidly storm out, looking accusatorily at the serpents.
The serpents, though, ignore them - their attention suddenly caught by whatever is happening on the mountainside. And with no further warning than that, the four of them abandon the orc camp and head upslope as fast as they can slither.
The flyers also take off in that direction, flying low to the ground and at top speed. They don't look particularly happy about this, though, and direct some venomous looks at the larger serpents, as if to say "If this gets me killed, I am so coming back and throttling you!"
Several of the more enterprising orcs follow the serpent's lead, charging up the mountainside as fast as they can go, yelling foul orcish battlecries. Except for one, who, for reasons unknown, yells "Muffins!"
Maya:
As you come in, the serpents try focusing their fire on Fang. This results in even less actual effect than when they targeted Fierce; his fur isn't even singed. One does still manage to land a bite on him as the two of you go past; a couple try the same against you and simply miss.
The plan seems to be working so far; there are sounds of pursuit behind you - as well as an explosion that probably marks the removal of the last log. Still, concealing your tracks while dragging a slowly-healing giant snake down a snowy mountainside is unlikely to be easy... especially when you only have seconds more before the serpents are through the fog.
And the fact that the camp below seems to be trying to rush up to meet you might also be of note.
Englesworth, Lester, and "Blackbog" Pete:
These three have decided that discretion is the better part of valor, and are using all this uproar to cover their retreat into the tunnels.
Mirri:
Continues to circle over the area, hoping for a serpent to become separated from the group so she can land another attack without getting herself killed. Alas, Maya and Fang don't have enough of a lead on the group chasing them for her to be willing to risk such an attack - even if she was able to see that the one they're dragging isn't dead yet.
