Stewart glares at the forces assembled beyond the wall of force and simply continues constructing. This new bird-man has powerful clawed hands instead of rough talons. To all appearances, Stewart appears ready to pour ectoplasm into servants until the wall is breached.

Aurora pauses for a moment to catch her figurative breath. However, she's a veteran of many battles and it's but a fraction of a second later that she begins moving again. A shimmer of light briefly envelops her, then she fades into invisibility as she darts back up to a vantage point above the railing.

The opposition posed by a completely impenetrable barrier does not stop the wizard for long. He and his minions simply teleport past the wall, to a point in mid-air on the side of the boat where Aurora is. They don't seem to notice through her invisibility, however.

The minions are now all clearly visible:
The silver creature is a Spirit of Vengeance; a dragon-shaped celestial in service to Bahamut, and rather more powerful than could have been called by normal summoning spells.
The winged crab-like creature is some kind of summoned demon, albeit not a particularly notable one. It's probably a safe bet that it's poisonous, though.
And the third creature is a hulking humanoid with leonine features - a summoned celestial with a love of physical combat and some notable healing abilities.

"Oh, joy," grumbles Luma. "Why does everything have to fly?"

"Probably because we're in mid-air, dear." Stewart flashes a grin at Luma. He then seems to simply be waiting to see what will happen.

Aurora darts closer to Stewart and Luma, though not getting so close as to make a group target easily available. With a mental shrug - her preferred tactic against larger powerful groups was to scatter them and cause confusion but she isn't sure how well that would work against fliers - she aims another ink-black bolt of sullen energy at the group with the same splintering result.

The summoned leonid leads off the opposition by healing the wizard.

Lauren blinks. "That's not allowed." And she mutters some incantations, and throws a ball of fire at the leonid. It hits with a dull "fump" noise and barely any detonation at all - but is followed by the distinctive pop of a summoned creature returning to whence it came.

The scorpion-like demon charges Aurora, but its tail bounces harmlessly off her armor, and the rest of its attacks don't even connect.

The Spirit of Vengeance utters a booming Word of Power. Nothing happens. It looks vaguely disgruntled.

The wizard casts flesh to stone - though it's not entirely clear who he was aiming at, since it doesn't work either.

Both the wizard and the spirit move away from each other, so as to not represent a continuing target for area effects.

Luma takes one look at the resulting situation. "Yay! Something I can hit!" and she charges the scorpion-demon, taking it out in a single hit. Though, to be fair, Aurora's attacks had left it heavily injured...

Stewart quietly instructs the first of his constructs "The wizard, and blast him if he casts." To the second, he says "Grab the celestial, maul it." The constructs fly off to obey, and Stewart again simply waits.

Aurora launches a fireball at the Spirit, keeping an eye on the wizard - dead things were annoying to question.

The wizard looks at the oncoming construct, ducks down under the airship, and teleports again.

The Spirit, apparently more inclined to stay in a probably losing battle, intones the same Word of Power again. It continues to have no effect.

And then the clouds, which had been looking ominous all day, decide to drop their entire load of water in one go - or at least that's how it seems. Rain is coming down in heavy sheets; thunder snaps and booms. You are all instantly soaked. Visibility is about five feet.

Stewart curses and moves across the deck to keep himself from being an easy target.
