When you return, the room is just as you left it; Eenyrl sleeping on the floor next to the sack of armors you looted off both bandits and gnolls.

Aurora removes the note she'd left and arranges herself as she had been before her late night venture. After a few hours rest, she rises and watches the sunrise. She wakes Eenyrl and offers him the choice of remaining here in the room or accompanying her around the town. After breakfast she sets out, seeking information about the adventurers who had taken out the bulk of the wererats, and about possible jobs.

Eenyrl seems confused by the notion that he has a choice of what to do; but, given a choice, he defaults to following you.

Breakfast is plain, but otherwise good.

Stepping outside brings you your first clear view of the city - though it is still fairly dark and dreary. One thing in particular jumps out at you, though - a Tavinoy airship is parked over the fort at the south end of town. This can't be a good sign.

Aurora makes her way around the city, avoiding the worst neighborhoods (not out of fear but of simple economic self-interest) and the richest, skimming for information on the adventurers who had taken care of the bulk of the weres and on possible odd jobs she could take.

The city is abuzz with news of the adventurers who defeated the were-rats - and somehow, miraculously, rescued perhaps a dozen people who had been captured by them. Many of the stories conflict, of course, but it's not that hard to sort out at least some truth.

The stories center on two catfolk warriors - one, a noblewoman's bodyguard; the second, an exotic barbarianess with four arms and tentacles. Stewart is little mentioned; the general consensus seems to be that he's Luma's agent, or porter, or toy. Of course, you're able to identify him as one of the world's foremost mages - but it seems that his fame has not spread to the mundane masses.

Lauren, on the other hand, is much mentioned; visiting nobility is always a topic for gossip.

And it's on this last note that you discover something else; a group of four men in white cloaks, apparently also trying to track down these adventurers - or rather, not just track them down, but keep tabs on them and find out when they're separated...

Aurora gives a mental snort of amusement as she discerns the identities of some of the adventurer group. It always amuses her how the subtler, oftentimes more dangerous beings were the ones less mentioned in whispered tales. Oh certainly, in many cases this was by choice, but the public's tendency to latch on to the flashy heros struck her as ironic - she herself always pays more attention to the less visible figures, the ones perhaps with something to hide or simply with confidence enough in their abilities to not brandish them.

Aurora makes note of the cloaked figures, and sets off to where word on the streets has it the adventurers are (or at least were) staying.
