[OOC: It occurs to me that the most likely reaction is kill it and keep heading for the city, and it seems silly to make Froborr waste a post saying so. So, I've decided to post the results of such an action. If this is not appropriate, let me know and I'll delete this post.] The city, when you reach it, is still burning. It's also occupied: people walking around, going about their business, apparently oblivious to the ongoing destruction around them. Before the gates, however, lies a monsterous snake; sixty feet of black-plated horror studded with spines and jets of flame. It rears up as you approach, and announces, "Begone, mortal.
