Since I believe Asai is still here...

Oberon walks over to the lemur, "Hello Asai, is everything okay? You seem to be a little nervous..."
(You've both been around for a while, I assume you've met.)

At first, Asai doesn't seem to notice Oberon or his greeting. Then one ear twitches, her eyes seem to refocus, and she turns her head to greet him as if she hadn't just been seemingly oblivious to the ball going on beyond the seating area. "Nervous? Call it perhaps pensive or troubled and you might be closer to the mark. I begin to see why professors back in my home shadow were often so frustrated. Teaching someone who wants to learn can be incredibly exciting, but attempting to teach someone who is sure they already know what needs knowing on a given subject, however little that might be whether in consideration or total, is much less appealing."

Solten arrives back at the seating area after returning with Kizak the dragon and greets Oberon and Asai. "I apologize if I'm interrupting, but my introductions with Asai were cut short earlier. I thought I would come say hello." He debates a moment, then grins "And say thank you as well."

Oberon answers Asai first. "I'd offer my thoughts, but usually that's the last thing I want to hear when I'm in a bad mood. I heard a little about the incident at the docks. I'm sure things will work out, and if you want some ideas.. well, I wouldn't mind helping that situation."

He will nod to Solten. "Why were they cut short?"

(Apparently, there are actually 2 Oberons, not just one moving from 1 thread to another in wobbly-time fashion... Seeing as I don't have the mental power at present to deal with that, I'm going to say that Solten did not notice the second one at refreshments because of the crowd position, and deal with it when they apparently collide soon.)

"Funny you should mention the incident at the docks. That's precisely what interrupted us. What exactly was that all about?"

Asai gives Oberon an odd glance (almost exasperated), but chooses to respond to Solten's question instead. "Largely a case of supremely bad timing in expressing general displeasure at the dominance of Amberites over locals. Fortunate for the 'Amber sympathizer', potentially not so fortunate for the would-be gang member. Hopefully he has been delivered into hands that will be interested in treating the symptom and not just delivering appropriate punishment for attempted killing."

"You know, you can make sure that's what happens. I mean, set up a college if you..." Oberon (henceforth Oberon*) will trail off as Alys, Pricilla and Oberon (henceforth Oberon**) approach from the refreshment tables.

The new Oberon** will observe, "Oh dear."

There is a slight pause in reality as several scenes occur at the same time.

Solten will do a double take when seeing what caused Oberon to trail off. His gaze bounces between them for a second, then decides to make the most out of it. "Well, I guess introductions won't be needed, at least."

Alys moves forward confidently, without so much as breaking stride at the peculiarity of two Oberons. "Introducing Oberon to Oberon, perhaps not. But, on the off chance that the one I was speaking to was a fake..." She holds out her hand to Oberon*, "I am Lady Alystrakos Obsidia Sybaris. I presume you are Oberon?"

Once she's handled introductions, Alys steps back and carefully seats herself, beckoning Priscilla over, but still keeping her attention on the Oberons.

Priscilla - and anyone with particularly high psyche - may note that Alys is actually calming down some; apparently she regards a doppelganger as a return to normality after trying to deal with a terrified dragon.

Asai cocks her head, watching the byplay with avid interest, the tip of her tail twitching rhythmically back and forth.
