Alys calming down does not stop Priscilla from doing what she promised. (Not she wanted to stop anyway.)

Well, let's start with the basics. Oberon* will make a brief greeting to Alys. He will then move on to Oberon**, extending his hand a moment, before twisting, drawing his blade with his other hand, and running it through the bottom of Oberon**'s jaw up through the top of Oberon**'s head.

This is complicated by the fact the blade immediately smokes and melts, breaking off at the place it pierces Oberon**'s skin.

OBeron** will respond by dissolving into a rapidly-moving green-tinted water elemental, and making an attempt to slosh towards one of the nearby exits into the underwater grotto. (As a reminder, those are simply a wall of water held back by magic surface tension.)

(OOC: I have a superbowl party tonight, so may be slow to respond. I was not expecting this many people in the thread. As for who is "in his way", Nuall can be if you want, and if anyone else wants to have a reason to be there. The Elemental is easily hitting a fast sprint, and I regret to say, dissolves metal stabbed or thrown into him.)

Priscilla comments to herself or anyone listening. "Flour + water elemental =?"

(Nuall's internalized thought process: Sword! Do not have one. Steel ineffective. It is...water? How to fight water? Fire? Refreshment tables...chafing dishes? Too little, too far. Contain it. Nothing suitable at hand. Cannot grapple. Sorcery. Must be several sorcerers here...need to buy them time. Slow it down how? Barrier? Nothing suitable at hand. Water splashes. If splattered, will it need to pull itself together to keep moving? Do not know, but best option available. Need something...flat surface...there!"

The above thought sequence flashes through the instinctive level of Nuall's brain. In a fraction of second he leaps forward and grabs two chairs by the legs. He sprints after the creature and when he overtakes he swings both chairs, one high and one low, trying to scatter it as much as possible. If the chairs survive and it seems to be helping he will continue to swing until help arrives.

Without even realizing that he is speaking he says: "Where would we get enough flour to make a difference at a ball?"

Renny yells "Ice!"

OOC: Is there any reason to believe the real Oberon cannot turn into a water elemental? I mean, it might be surprising, but it's not unthinkable, right?

Nuall responds: "Excellent! How?"

OCC: We have no evidence that he he has that ability, but absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Either way, it will be easier to sort this whole issue out if we still have both on hand and we've only been informed of one trying to flee. It's kinda like the end of Jurassic Park: the T. Rex attacks whatever moves first. LOL

"Ice?" Asks Priscilla with this look that plainly says that she clearly does not follow the logic.

So, chairs... They do break / disintegrate, but not before splattering the creature into three separate (yet smaller) blobs, in red, green and blue varieties.
(OOC: Asai has a spell ready to go...)

Asai tilts her head and gives Oberon** a curious stare, which turns into a surprised one as Oberon* runs his (to her, obvious) doppelganger through. Her mouth opens briefly right as Nuall runs into close range of the creature, chairs at the ready, and then shuts. A second after the creature splits into three politely color-coded smaller creatures Asai's tail twitches in a coiled sort of way, she gives a curious sort of voiced hiss*, and the green one is abruptly enveloped in a faintly shimmering sphere of force a few feet above the ground.

((*Kinda' like a voiced fricative, but in my head it's less of the "zzz" that "sss" would turn into and more "sss" underlaid by "rrrt" or something like that. Doesn't really translate into text without a lot more effort than a few seconds' thought.))

The remaining two, being not of powerful or magical make, go down fast. Unless anyone really wants to get the jump on it, Quin lashes at them with a quick ice spell.

Odin will leap up close and demands, "Stand down Oagthach!" to the creature which was testing the force-cage.

Dworkin will appear from behind someone (take your pick, the little devil is tricky and it's past midnight here...), "Well, that was exciting. Let's continue this in my lab." He will produce a trump card and will use it to open a small, free-standing gate. "Well, come on... Odin, Oberon, and.. uh... who else is involved? Please move the cage through. It's not as easy as it looks to keep this thing open."

(OOC: Up to you if you follow...)
